Welcome to our web site and HAPPY150th BIRTHDAY OREGON !

Our site was recently revised and includes sharper graphics, more photographs and “mouse over” headings to allow for easier access to drop-down menus. You will still find a complete list of our members, with addresses, phone numbers and, in many cases, a direct link to their business website. There is also a list of our local events, as well as listings for city, county and state government offices. If you click on the South Umpqua Lancers button below you will be taken directly to the South Umpqua High School web site where you will find, among other things, complete athletic schedules and a link to the South Umpqua School District.

This is a special year for all Oregonians, the 150th birthday of statehood or, as some choose to say, “the sesquicentennial”. The actual “birthday” is February 14th, 2009 but there will be celebrations throughout the state all year long. So, to help you know more about the celebration and the many events that are planned for our local area, we have added a special “button” on the right side of this page. Click there for news and updates.

The Myrtle Creek-Tri City Area Chamber of Commerce prides itself in representing all of our members by serving as a link between businesses, government and private citizens. You can view the City of Myrtle Creek Public Meetings Calendar and read our meeting minutes as well as see which business is our current Business of the Month.

The preservation, growth and promotion of local businesses is directly related to our economic success. Our chamber strives to preserve our small town charm while encouraging economic growth and development. We have been active in promoting our area by producing a promotional brochure, sponsoring community events, such as our free Music in the Park concert series, and coordinating our efforts with other area Chambers of Commerce. Most recently a Myrtle Creek Downtown Merchants Association was formed and is now responsible for the Oregon Main Street Program, which the City of Myrtle Creek was accepted into at the “Exploring Downtown” phase.

We are especially proud of the promotional DVD produced for us by ArtBeats, a local royalty-free stock footage company. To enjoy this exceptional DVD, click here now.
