4th Annual Winter Wine Walk, Thursday, November 20th, 2014: The 4th Annual Winter Wine Walk, sponsored by the Main Street Myrtle Creek Association, will take place on Thursday, November 20th, 2014 from 4:00-6:30pm. Several Myrtle Creek downtown businesses will be hosting local wineries or "self-pouring" wine, paired with food offerings. Participating wineries will have full/unopened bottles of selected varietals available for sale. Souvenir glass (optional/$5) and wine walk map available at participating businesses.

The 'Grand Illumination' of the City of Myrtle Creek Christmas Tree is held on the 1st Saturday in December (December 6, 2014). FREE coffee, hot chocolate and cookies (while supplies last) will be served at about 5:00pm at Main Street and 2nd Avenue, with the official lighting ceremony to follow. There may also be caroling and a surprise appearance by Santa!

21st Annual Timber Trucker's Light Parade competition in the evening of the 2nd Saturday in December. Parade begins in Riddle as soon as it's dark enough and travels through Tri-City along Pacific Hwy/Main Street, ending at the Winter Festival in downtown Myrtle Creek. Read more....

**Throughout the year, the Myrtle Creek Volunteer Fire Department sponsors or participates in a variety of events to raise funds for worthwhile causes and to upgrade their equipment. Annually, up to eight $1,500.00 educational scholarships are presented and approximately $25,000.00 worth of clothing is distributed during the Clothe-A-Child campaign. Occasionally, dates listed for sponsored events may change due to staffing and training requirements. To verify dates/times or for more information about sponsored events, call 541-863-3852.
