Interested in opening a business in Myrtle Creek~Tri City, Oregon? If so, the Myrtle Creek~Tri City Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Myrtle Creek Economic Development Advisory Committee invite you to take a look at the types of businesses that we believe might be successful here. The list is current as of July 1, 2007 and is subject to future updates, depending on the changing needs of our local community.
Myrtle Creek and the unincorporated area of Tri City are located along the I-5 corridor, just over 100 miles north of the California/Oregon border, 80 miles east of the Oregon Coast, and 16 miles south of the city of Roseburg, Oregon. The area has a combined population of approximately 7,200 people. The area is attracting new residents, mostly young families and retirees. New homes are being built, as well as commercial/retail space. A new industrial site for light manufacturing operations is located nearby. An additional freeway interchange at I-5 exit 106 is being planned, with completion expected during 2011. This new interchange will be close to French Field Municipal Airport and will allow better access to undeveloped land in the area just west of the freeway known as “Missouri Bottom”.
